Promoting Your Membership

Why should I be using the tick logo?

More than just a membership requirement, demonstrating your commitment to best practice and membership of the FRSB can encourage and reassure current and potential supporters to donate.

62% of people are more likely to trust a charity if they knew it was an FRSB member.  In the same survey, 56% of respondents said that trust in a charity would influence their decision to donate. (Source: TNS Survey of 1,000+ UK respondents, October - December 2009)

To communicate effectively what your membership really means, introduce the Give With Confidence tick logo, ideally alongside an explanation of your commitment to The Fundraising Promise and Codes of Fundraising Practice, wherever you can.

Where should I be using the logo?

  • On your fundraising appeals – we understand that you may not always have room to include the FRSB logo, but try and use it wherever you can
  • On your website – alongside the tick logo try to also include information about the scheme and your commitment to The Fundraising Promise Include links to our public site www.givewithconfidence.org.uk.
  • In your supporter newsletters – including a dedicated article in your newsletter can be an ideal way to communicate with supporters (we can supply you with templates that can be adapted to suit your organisation).
  • On donation and sponsorship forms and web pages – include the Give With Confidence logo on forms and web pages, giving supporters confidence in your organisation as they are making a decision to support you.
  • When communicating with the press - include the Give With Confidence logo when distributing your press releases.
